The DLTK website, have some good Remembrance day activities and crafts that can be used and adapted for Anzac day. I loved theirfingerprint poppy wreath. This is really something the whole congregation can do together. ttp://www.dltk-holidays.com/remembrance/crafts.htm Poppy time: Gives clear instructions on how to make a poppy. This is something that could easily be included in your service on the Sunday and the children could possibly hand out after the service. You may even want to buy a magnets and let the children create Poppy Fridge magnets. http://www.poppytime.com/poppy-craft-activities.htm The Anzac Website - has a range of activities etc that can be used at holiday programmes etc http://www.anzacwebsites.com/activities/classroom.htm I loved this You Tube clip in which children are asked by youth presenters what Anzac day means to them and why it is important. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMDCBcBRAh4 Anzac - Last post http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUqaiRNOMqs |
